DJI Mavic 3 Pro: A Breakthrough Drone with Triple Cameras, Price, and Availability

3 min

The latest DJI Mavic 3 Pro is the first-ever drone featuring three cameras. Discover its features, price, and availability in the market.

DJI has once again raised the bar with the unveiling of its newest drone, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro. This advanced drone, excluding the recently announced Inspire 3, boasts a multitude of features with the most striking one being the massive photographic module housing three cameras of varying focal lengths. This makes it an ultimate dream for any content creator.

Having three cameras with different focal lengths offers tremendous creative flexibility. It not only enables zooming in on faraway objects or capturing wider images without sacrificing quality but also allows perspective compression, a highly sought-after effect by professional photographers and filmmakers.

Incorporating a long-range telephoto lens is especially useful for a drone. If the pilot wishes to photograph or record a specific point but cannot approach the area due to governmental or operational restrictions, a long-range telephoto lens can be instrumental in resolving the situation.

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro cameras feature 24 mm, 70 mm (3x optical zoom), and 166 mm (7x optical zoom) lenses. The camera specifications include:

  • Main Camera: 4/3 CMOS sensor with a dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops, 20-megapixel resolution, and variable aperture between f/2.8 and f/11. It can also capture 12-bit RAW photos, record 5.1K video at 50 FPS or DCI 4K at 120 FPS, and supports both 10-bit D-Log and D-Log M color modes.
  • 3x Telephoto Lens: 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with 48-megapixel resolution, 4K video recording at 60 FPS, and compatibility with D-Log M mode.
  • 7x Telephoto Lens: 12-megapixel CMOS sensor with f/3.4 aperture, capable of recording 4K video at 60 FPS and hybrid zoom up to 28x.

Intelligent, Safe, and Long-lasting

The Mavic 3 Pro is equipped with eight sensors featuring a wide field of view to detect obstacles in all directions. With the help of the APAS 5.0 system, the drone can safely perform autonomous flights or simply alert the pilot when a non-visible obstacle may jeopardize the aircraft’s operation.

Regarding connectivity, the Mavic 3 Pro utilizes DJI O3+ technology, enabling video transmission up to 1080p and 60 FPS at a maximum distance of 15 kilometers. It also includes Wi-Fi 6 for wireless file transfer to other devices.

The drone comes with a battery offering up to 43 minutes of autonomy and a fast-charging system of up to 65 watts, as well as various flight modes: Advanced RPO, cruise control, trajectory flight, FocusTrack, MasterShots, and more.
